The Ripchords

The Ripchords were a punk rock band formed in Street, Somerset by Sean Dromgoole (vocals), Morris Gould [aka Maurice Gould, Mixmaster Morris] (bass), Jonathan Jetlag [Jonathan Collins] (guitar), and Michael Trei (drums). Morris founded The Ripchords at 15, whose sole release, an eponymous EP with four tracks, was championed by the BBC Radio One DJ John Peel. Its another one of those singles that just kept appearing and featured a mighty fine tuneful punk with sepulchral vocals and deep growling bass. [SOURCE: PUNK77]
