Alaska Y Dinarama

Alaska y Dinarama (originally as Dinarama + Alaska) was a pop and new wave group formed in 1982 in Madrid (Spain). The group reached its peak of popularity in the mid-eighties. In 1989, after four studio albums and a compilation, it split to give way to the solo career of its members. It is considered one of the reference groups of Spanish pop in the eighties in Spain and part of Latin America, especially Mexico.

Initially Dynarama -as it was first named for the presentation of the band- was formed by Carlos Berlanga (guitar) and Nacho Canut (bass) after the split of their previous band Alaska y los Pegamoides. Shortly after its formation, at the end of 1982, Alaska joined as singer to collaborate in the recording and tour of the album 'Canciones Profanas' (1983). Later, she would become the lead vocalist. Their music is deeply influenced by styles such as new wave, disco, glam rock, synth-pop or acid house. Some of her most emblematic songs are "Un Hombre De Verdad", "Rey Del glam", "Ni Tú Ni Nadie", "Mi Novio Es Un Zombi", and "A Quién Le Importa". [SOURCE: WIKIPEDIA]
